Testimonials

A couple of years ago, I was at a crossroads in my business. I could either stagnate—not getting the kind of pay, projects, and clients I wanted—or I could grow. I knew I was ready to take my business to the next level, but I also knew I couldn't do it alone. That's where Laura comes in. Through business coaching, Laura shared with me the tips, tricks, and tactics she's learned throughout her successful editing career about how to network and market myself, have the confidence to raise my prices, and avoid the burnout that driven entrepreneurs are prone to. Now I run a company of five, speak nationally, run a Meetup and Facebook group for writers, and never worry about when my next project is going to come. If you know you're a good editor, but the business side needs some help, look to Laura. She'll set you on the path to the career you've always dreamed of.  --ES

Several years ago, I decided to shift my focus to building a clientele in academic editing, and I was floundering. Upon the enthusiastic recommendation of a colleague, I hired Laura as a professional/life coach. She helped me frame my career goals and break them down into manageable stages, and she offered concrete, creative suggestions. She's supported and encouraged me. At the same time, she's challenged me to step outside my comfort zone to grow professionally and earn a salary commensurate with the value of my work. She has always been sensitive to my struggles, helping me become more focused, confident, and compassionate with myself, and she's celebrated my successes with me. I've grown personally and professionally through our work together and am excited about the future. -SW
